See Your Pics Online With the Honley Show After-the-Event Photo Competition...

This year, visitors to the Honley Show will be encouraged to submit their digital snaps from this exciting day out for inclusion on the new Honley Show website.

There will be a prize for the picture that, in the opinion of the Honley Show publicity team, best captures the spirit of the day. Entries can include photos of people, events, animals - anything really, provided that it's relevant to the Show.

All entries, together with full details of the photographer and subject, should be submitted no later than the 30th June, by e-mail to press@honleyshow.co.uk

Keep watching this web page during June / July for details of the lucky winners. Details of the winners will also be announced in the local media.

The subject: Attached are three photographs from the National Childbirth Trust for the photo competition for this year's Honley Show. The pictures show our cake stall before all the hungry customers descended, and the feeding and changing tent being used.

The subject: Two photos taken on Honley Show day of the volunteers Andy Bamforth & Ian Grundy setting up the water butts.

Photographs Submitted by: David Swanbury:

The subject: The Whiteface Woodland belongs to Angela and Robert Crampton and was a winner.  The rest of the photos are mostly of the hounds in the ring with the children and the Colne Valley Beagles had a display in the Countryside marquee with two couple of beagles which children petted.

As you can see my interest lies mainly in supporting the local packs of the Colne Valley Beagles and the Pennine Foxhounds who survive despite the Hunting Act and provide considerable interest at shows as well as the opportunity to roam the countyside with healthy exercise, involvement with animals, and with a strong social fabric of rural and social events.

The photographer: My name is Katie, I'm 17 and I'm a member of Springers agility and flyball club! We had a fantastic time at the show and loved doing the displays, as we do every year!

The subject: I took these pictures whilst waiting for my dog to run, I really feel that they sum up how much fun the show is, what with the clear blue skies and the crowds in the background. The dogs featured are the smallest ones at the club but have the biggest personalities! A bit like Honley show, although its not as big as great Yorkshire etc it still has a fantastic atmosphere and its a pleasure to attend! Both Woody and Lucky are rescue dogs and I particularly like the action shot that I took of Lucky jumping!
