Handicraft section news
Schedules have been sent out this week (May 4th). If you are a regular exhibitor, or you have requested a schedule; it is in the post. Please contact Linda 01484 666176 if you need a copy.
In 2007 we reached our maximum number of exhibits for the size of our marquee. PLEASE post your entries in good time this year other wise we may have to turn you away. The deadline for entries is the Wednesday before the show (June 11th). Even this date makes it very difficult to process entries on time so… book early!
We will be very reluctant to allow late entries this year as it means squashing those that do enter on time. Thanks for your co-operation.
We have been lucky to secure Honley Kennels as our sponsor of the prize tokens for all the children’s classes. Thanks Andy Hampshaw. The kennels also provide a trophy for the best in the adult’s photography class 12. This year it’s called ‘Pets’ so dig out your best snaps and have a go at entering.
My favourite trophy is the Sue Asher trophy… (see photo) a little group of beautifully carved and painted puffins on a piece of driftwood. How inspirational for a small child to have such a work of art on their shelves for a year. This class is for any painting or drawing up to age 7 years.
