Countryside

The countryside marquee is a recent addition to the Honley Show. The exhibitions inside and around the marquee demonstrate a number of crafts and leisure activities linked to the countryside. They are entertaining as well as informative, and show how people of all ages and interests can get involved. There are competitions, demonstrations and practical activities, as well as organisations looking for your support and membership.

In 2008 the exhibitors were:

Dry stone walling demonstration;
Bee keeping
Walking stick making, including a regional competition for this craft;;
Fly fishing and fly tying;
Cookery demonstration;
Hedge laying;
Allotment ownership;
Wood turning;
Yorkshire water;
Historical Association;
Countryside Leisure

We are constantly expanding the range and number of exhibitors in the countryside marquee. If you would like to showcase your organisation or activities please get in touch with the countryside secretary, or complete the entry form on this page.
